Minister for Education Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today stressed on the need for encouraging exposure visits to enable students from J&K to interact with their counterparts in different states of the country and vise-versa.Speaking during a video conference convened by Union Minister for Human Resource Development (HRD) Prakash Javadekar with the education Ministers of different states, Altaf Bukhari said student to student contact will help to bridge the gap among the states and enable youth to learn and share their experiences.During the interaction, Altaf Bukhari urged the Education Minister of Kerala to send a group of 500 students of his state to Kashmir for an exposure visit.  The Union Minister also appreciated the J&K Education Minister for holding and promoting exposure visits of students of J&K and their counterparts of other states.

The MHRD had organised the video conference to brief the education Ministers and senior functionaries of the states about the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s video interaction with the secondary, senior secondary and college students of the country scheduled on March 16. The event is being organized to know about the aspirations of the students and counsel them about stress management during examinations.It was informed that during the interaction PM would reply to the queries students which they can upload on www.innovate.mygov.in portal within three days.  The interaction would be aired on both Television and radio.Principal Secretary Higher Education, Mr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, Secretary, School Education, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Shah, SPD, SSA, Mr. Abdul Rashid War, SPD RMSA, Mr. Tufail Mattoo and Director School Education Jammu were also present on the occasion.
