A delegation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee, led by its President Mr. Roshan Lal Raina, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.The delegation requested Governor to intervene in solving their various issues including: deploying public transport for their area which has been stopped since last 2 years; provision of  adequate medical, water and power supplies; enhancement in relief amount; early start of civil works including drainage and blacktopping and completion of Community Hall; two 100-KV transformers for the area; provision of accommodation to migrants serving in Valley under Prime Minister’s Package; provision of financial assistance to patients who are economically weak.Governor observed that Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sh. Hemant Kumar Sharma, shall be asked to personally review all the difficulties raised by the delegation and discuss the same with him. He assured support for promoting the welfare of Durga Nagar residents.
