Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary today inaugurated newly constructed Community Hall at village Baja Chak in Suchetgarh . The Community Hall has been constructed by Rural Development Department at a cost of Rs. 18 lakh under convergence of Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and BADP.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the construction of Community hall in the village was the long pending demand of the locals owning to lack of place for holding community and social functions, adding that with the construction of this asset, the long pending demand of locals has been fulfilled. He highlighted the utility of community assets being constructed by the government and said that that people can arrange social as well as religious functions in this community hall. He also appealed people to protect and maintain public assets as their own property because it belongs to them.Asking people to keep eye on the developmental works being executed in their respective areas to ensure quality of work, Sham Choudhary said that they should be actively participating in the governance. He said that government is working tirelessly to ensure development of all the regions of the state especially rural and border belts.Taking stock of developmental activities and assessing the availability of basic amenities in the areas, the Minister directed the concerned to be available round-the clock to address the public grievances.Earlier, the Minister attended Annual-cum-Prize distribution function of a Public School at Village Kalyana .Highlighting the importance of education in life, Sham Choudhary exhorted upon the teaching community to impart quality education to the students. He elaborated the role of teachers and parents in chiselling the personality of students, saying that it is a two way process. He also called for providing moral education to students, saying that it would go a long way to make them responsible citizens.The Minister presented trophies and mementoes among students who excelled in curricular and co-curricular activities.Meanwhile, the students presented colourful cultural programme which enthralled the audiences.
