Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) and Tribal Affairs, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali today called for putting in concerted efforts to expedite effective implementation of Common Services Centres (CSC) scheme in te state.The Minister stated this while chairing a meeting with the concerned officers here today.The meeting was attended by Director (FCS&CA) Jammu, Financial advisor, Joint Director Finance, Deputy Secretary CAPD, and other senior officers of the department.The Minister said that Common Services Centers (CSC) scheme is one of the mission mode projects under the Digital India Programme and these centers shall act as the access points for delivery of essential public utility services, social welfare schemes, healthcare, financial, education and agriculture services, apart from host of services to citizens in rural areas of the state and stressed on its timebound implementation to ensure better service deliverance.Zulfkar asked for chalking out effective system for enabling all existing 6411 FPS to function as CSC so that the various services being delivered through CSC currently can be provided by the FPS.The Minister said once the services are made available to the common man at his doorstep it will ensure efficiency and transparency in the delivery mechanism.
