The Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq Khan informed the House that government has disbursed Rs 23.91 crore against among 74538 MGNREGA job card holders in Kupwara district and generated 1572609 Person-days (PDs) against the Rs 36.97 crore outlay available for the current financial year.Replying to a question of Mr Bashir Ahmad Dar, the Minister said that all works have been taken up as per the approved labour budget and there no liability exists in the district. He further said that under convergence with MPLAD, 260 works have been taken up in Kupwara district during the same period.
