Finance Minister Punjab Manpreet Singh Badal congratulated the people of the state on the Prakash Purb of Shri Ravidas Ji during the state level function in Khuralgarh Sahib and announced that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh will expedite the work on memorial of Sri Guru Ravidas ji 'Meenare-e-Begampura' to Complete it soon. Addressing a massive gathering in the function, he said that the state government was committed to bring prosperity and prosperity to the state.The Finance Minister said that the Kandi and Border area in the state was underdeveloped and in the last week during the meeting with the Union Finance Minister it was proposed that by increasing the central under the Border Area Development Scheme and Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, the areas of Kandi and Border areas can be rapidly put on the growth lines. He said that in this semi-mountainous area the wild animals often destroy crops, in view of which the Punjab government would provide a subsidy of 50 crores to the farmers to protect their crops. He further added that to solve the problem of irrigation in the Kandi area 265  tubewells would be installed in 13 assembly constituencies of the Kandi area with 20 tubewells per constituency in 12 constituencies, whereas in GarhShankar constituency 25 tubewells would be installed.

Manpreet Singh Badal said that only development of streets was not the real development, Punjab would develop in real sense when every person of the state would get good employment opportunities. He said that the Punjab government was committed to provide employment to the youth of the state.Manpreet Badal said that if the central government increases the income tax slab by half percent during the ensuing budget session, the government would get additional Rs 50,000 crore which can be utilised for the welfare of the farmers. He said that state government has been providing power to the industries at a cost of Rs. 5 per unit in order to revive the state's industry. He said that the stamp duty has been reduced to 6 percent by the Punjab government to boost the real estate sector in the state.The Finance Minister said that it has been proposed to Union Government to approve the  Rajpura-Mohali railway link in ensuing budget session and on acceptance of this proposal Punjab government would provide land for this railway link at its expense.Meanwhile, the Finance Minister also announced a grant of Rs. 10 lakhs for the development works of the village Khuralgarh Sahib to the Gram Panchayat of the village.

Addressing the function, the former MLA Mr. Luv Kumar Goldy apprised the Cabinet Minister about the problems being faced by the Gharshankar constituency. During the function, Mr. Raj Kumar, MLA Chabewal and Chairman SC Department of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee and Mr. Pawan Kumar Adiya, MLA and District President Congress Committee congratulated the people on Guru Ravidas Ji's Prakash Purab and appealed to the Sangat to follow the path shown by the Guru. On this occasion, Dr. Kewal Singh, President Tapasthan Khuralgarh Sahib apprised the Sangat about the importance of this historical place.On this occasion prominent amongst others, Mr. Sangat Singh Giljian, MLA, Mr. Sunder Sham Arora, MLA Hoshiarpur, Mr. Rajneesh Kumar Babbi, MLA Mukerian,  Mr. Arun Dogra, MLA Dasuya,  Mr. Santokh Singh Bhalaipur, MLA Baba Bakala, Mr. Vipul Ujwal, Deputy Commissioner,  Mr. J.  AlanChellion, SSP, Mr. Amarpreet Singh Lalli, Youth Congress President, Mr. Jang Bahadar Singh, Co-Chairman SC Department and Vice Chairman Mr. Ravinder Kumar Roji, Mr. Amarinder Jora, Secretary PPCC, Sri Brahm Shankar Gippa, Councillor and Former District President Congress Committee, Congress leader Mrs. Nimisha Mehta, former sarpanch and cashier Mr. Ranjit Singh were also present.
