Patanjali Yog Samiti Chandigarh observed the martyrdom day of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev and yog mahotsav at the sector 27 Ram Leela grounds.BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate Kirron Kher, former union minister Harmohan Dhawan, former MP Satyapal Jain and UT chairman Sanjay Tandon were especially present at the event. People from all walks of life participated enthusiastically in the event.The event started with enchanting Om at 4 pm and concluded at 6 pm with shaanti path (prayer for peace). At the beginning of function state president Vinod Bharadwaj, youth president Anil Kumar, Milkh Raj, Kamal Sharma, district president Anil Sharma, Anjana, Nirmal, Rajni Rakesh Gupta and P D Tandon lit the ceremonial lamp at the event’s inauguration.
General secretary district south Narinder Goyal talked about last 20 years of work of Patanjali Yog Peeth.Vijay Shastri performed Stuti Vandana and sang bhajans. The Yuva Morcha presented Mera Rang De Basanti Chola filling every heart with patriotism. Assistant general secretary Janak Maghotra presented 15 different kinds of asanas explaining importance and impact of each asanas. Chandigarh general secretary RR Passi said that the yoga was key to alleviate ailments without spending any money. He explained eight main pranayam including bhastrika, kapal bhaati, bahye, ujjai, anulom vilom, bhramari, udgeet and pranav pranayam.
Speaking at the event, the BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate Kirron Kher paid obeisance to the martyrs and said that Indians cannot even pay back in blood, the three martyrs gifted us. Farm economist Devender Sharma thanked the participants, guests and media persons for their support.Besides this the yog mahotsav was also held at Chaman Lal DAV School sector 11 Panchkula, opposite Patanjali Clinic Kalgidhar Enclave Baltana Zirakpur, Arya Samaj College for women Kharar and in area near bus stand Raipur Rani.At Panchkula program, principal DAV School Anjali Mariya was specially present. Students sang national song and performed yog asanas. Under the same program, free medical checkup camp was held at Raipur Rani. Also floral tributes were paid at Murabakpur where Britisher have lodged Bhagat Singh in jail while going and returning back from Shimla.
