Baijnath , 28 Jan 2018

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing public meeting at Baijnath late evening on Sunday evening said that there was a lot of contribution from the people of Kangra in formation of BJP Government in the state. If huge mandate was given to BJP it was because of the people of Mandi and Kangra and I am indebted to the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who was a world leader and who made Jai Ram his choice to serve the people of Himachal Pradesh, said the Chief Minister. The centre Government led by Prime Minister was completing four years of its regime and wherever the state assembly elections were held, the BJP made its presence felt strongly and have won by huge majority in those states. He said that the trend of extension to the tired and retired was not the concept of BJP government. The first decision was to end the services of the retired and tired numbering around 3000. There were expert in flattery of the former Chief Minister and did nothing else. They survived on the mercy of Virbhadra Singh. My government is against this trend, he said.

He said that for the safety of women my government launched Guddiya Help Line on toll free number 1515. The previous Government was the culprit of Guddiya who was raped and brutally murdered in Kotkhai in Shimla and the only witness, Suraj was murdered in police custody. Besides a Hoshiar Help Line 1090 was also launched to tighten noose around forest Mafia which would be monitored by the Chief Minister’s Office. He also made a reference of the ‘Shakti Button App’, launched recently and exhorted the women folk to get it download on their mobiles. He also detailed about the unique features of the App. He thanked the Union Government for sanctioning 69 National Highways to the State and said that by 31st  March, 2018 the process of preparation of Detailed Project Reports would be made. The Congress kept on delaying the preparations of the Detailed Project reports, he said adding that they never wanted that the credit may go the Union and State BJP leaders.Referring to Member of Parliament Shri Shanta Kumar, he said that he met him in Delhi yesterday and took his blessings before coming to you all. It was the tall leaders like Shanta Kumar who gave their hundred percent in establishing BJP in Kangra.

MLA Mulk Raj Premi welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion. Shri Gokul Thakur presented a sum of rupees one lakh towards CM relief fund to the Chief Minister, besides NGO, Prayatan, Baijnath also presented a cheque of Rs. 11 thousand towards CM relief fund, another cheque of Rs. 11000 by Karya Nirikshak Sangh, a cheque of Rs. 12,000 by BJP Mahila Wing which included Sudesh Rana, Sunita Rana, Seema Chaudhary, Anju Katoch, Kiran Bhangalia and Nisha Dhiman also contributed towards Chief Minister Relief Fund. Apart from this Dr. Anil and Dr. Seema also contributed a sum of Rs. 11000 and Mrs Suman Lata and Mr. Sunil presented a cheque of Rs. 11000 towards CM relief fund. Irrigation and Public Health Minister Mahendar Singh Thakur, Food and Civil Supply Minister Kishan Kapoor, Urban Development Minister Smt. Sarveen Chaudhary, MLAs Mulk Raj Premi, Prakash Rana, Jawahar Thakur, Arjun Singh Ravi Dhiman, President BJP, Kangra Dinesh Sharma  were also present on the occasion amongst others office bearers of the party. He directed to incorporate Holi -Utrala road in MLA priority and I assure that we will try to provide partial funds in this budget and directed to prepare the DPRs. I assure that the distance between Baijnath and Kangra would certainly be reduced.
