DDC Baramulla flags-off progressive farmers’ tour under ATMA

District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Nassir Ahmad Naqash today flagged-off a group of progressive farmers on a progressive tour under Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) scheme.Pertinently, the tour aims at educating the farmers regarding the latest techniques of fish rearing and how to make it an income generating sector. The farmers will also be provided with information regarding various schemes under the fisheries department.Among others, Assistant Director Fisheries other Officers and officials besides concerned farmers were present on the Occasion. On the occasion, the DDC said that farmers can contact the concerned department regarding taking benefit from various schemes of the department and technical expertise round-the-clock.He stressed for availing benefits from the tour so that overall production and productivity is enhanced. Moreover, he emphasized for educating other farmers regarding benefits of such tours and farmer-friendly schemes.
