Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Choudhary today chaired a meeting to review various road projects being executed by R&B department in Suchetgarh .The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer R&B, Suder Shah, Superintendent Engineer Des Raj Chagat, Executive Engineer Division 1 Jammu, Rajan Mengi and other senior officers of the department.During the meeting, the Minister was informed that during the year 2017-18, 36 Km road lenght has been macadamised in Suchetgarh constituency with a cost of Rs 7.33 crore. Besides, the department has initiated work on 24 road macadamisation projects, of which, 15 of them have been completed while the work on remaining is in full swing.The department has macadamised 10.25 Km Check-Mohyar to Bulacheck Duwangagh road, 3 Km Chakroi to Hansa and its allied link roads, 4 Km Sheracheck to Koolmore Via Koolmore Via Kothey Pansal and 3.5 Km Magowali to Nanowali road and 5 Km Biaspur via Kothabancial road during the current financial year.The Minister directed the officers to complete the remaining road projects within shortest possible time. He also asked them to remove bottlenecks hampering the timely execution of these projects so that they too are completed in time.The Minister asked the department to take action against those contractors who do not adhere to the fixed timelines for project completion.
