AIP to contest LS polls, announces 3 candidates

Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) Saturday declared that it will contest from all the three Parliamentary seats of Kashmir pision. Addressing a news conference in Srinagar, party president Engineer Rashid said that he will himself take on PDPs Muzaffar Hussain Baig and NCs Sharief-ul-din Shariq from North Kashmir. He appealed people to vote his party for the better results.Rashid said that Advocate Mujeeb-ul-Rehman will fight from South Kashmir against Mehbooba Mufti and Dr Mehboob Baig while as renowned journalist Rashid Rahil will be party’s candidate from Central Kashmir against Dr Farooq Abdullah and PDPs Tariq Hamid Qara.Rashid claimed that in case his party bags any Parliament seat, it will act as a bridge between people of Kashmir and rest of India and will try its best to make people of India aware about the ground realities of Kashmir.
