Secretary Education, Farooq Ahmad Shah today convened a meeting of Chief Education Officers through video conferencing to review the functioning of the department.Secretary Education reviewed the execution of various ongoing works that have been taken up under RMSA and SSA and directed the concerned officers to expedite the works.He directed both the Directors  to implement the recent instructions given by the Education Minister wherein he asked the concerned to provide detailed information regarding the dilapidated conditions of the schools in the state so that steps for reconstruction would be taken up  at an earliest.The meeting was also informed that 550 students from Kashmir division were sent on educational tours outside the state, adding that in  2018-2019 the department would send 10000 students for such tours.  to make them  aware of educational, cultural and other activities happening in the rest of the country.
