Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today informed the Legislative Assembly that presently there are 32 Sub-District Hospitals functional in different parts of the State including, at Tral which is catering to the healthcare needs of the local public.While replying to a Question by Mushtaq Ahmad Shah in Legislative Assembly, the Minister informed that four ISM dispensaries are sanctioned for Tral Constituency, of which three are functional and the Dispensary at Maghama would be made functional soon.The Minister further clarified that as per norms, Dadsara, Charsoo, Aripal, Lalpora, Haari, Saimoh, Buchoo, Bathnoor and Loorgam do not qualify for opening/up-gradation of CHSs and PHCs. He also informed that presently there is no proposal to establish Ayurvedic Hospital in Tral Constituency. Satpal Sharma raised a supplementary question regarding the up-gradation of health institutions in Jammu west constituency. 188 medical centres providing patient care in PoonchReplying to another question of MLA Javid Ahmed Rana, the Health Minister informed the House that there are 188 health institutions functioning in district Poonch which include one District Hospital, three Sub District Hospitals/CHC, 17 PHCs, 15 NTPHCs, 149 Sub-Centres, one District TB Centre and two Mobile Medical Aid Centres.Responding to the supplementary of the Member, he said that presently there was no proposal to establish new health centre in Poonch district.
