Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq Khan informed the House that 1.5 crore man-days were generated during 2015-16 and 2016-17 under MGNREGA in Kishtwar and Doda districts. Giving details, the Minister said 74.71 lakh man-days were generated in Kishtwar and 76.50 in Doda district. He said that the liabilities on account of works completed under MGNREGA during the year 2016-17 and 2017-18 in Kishtwar is Rs.65.55 crore and Rs. 57.51 crore in Doda district.Replying to a question by G. M. Saroori, he said that the MGNREGA plan allocation for the year 2017-18 for district Kishtwar was Rs.82.22 crore and District Doda Rs.101.19 crore. The Minister said that the Union Ministry of Rural Development, with effect from 2016-17, has revamped erstwhile IAY scheme into Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G). He said that the scheme guidelines mandates selection of beneficiaries from auto-generated list drawn out of Socio Economic Caste Census (SECC) date 2-11, after adherence of prescribed criteria of automatic inclusion, exclusion, prioritization, verification, etc.He further said that the District Appellate Committee has been constituted with Additional District Development Commissioner as the Chairman of the Committee as per guidelines of PMAY(G) for inclusion of eligible left out beneficiaries.
