Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash today flagged-off a team of 40 farmers for an agricultural tour to the SKUAST Shalimar under Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) scheme. The one-day training programme organized by Horticulture Department is aimed at educating progressive farmers with the new and modern methodologies in the farming sector.Chief Horticulture Officer Saif-u-Din Ganaie and other officers were also present on the occasion.Speaking on the occasion, the DC emphasized upon the farmers to avail benefits of the programme so that the overall production and productivity is enhanced. He stresses for adopting such measures besides educating other farmers about their benefits.
