The 550th Prakash Utsav (Gurpurab) of Guru Nanak Dev will be celebrated all over Himachal as State level function in the year 2019, stated  Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur after paying obeisance at  Shri Singh Sabha Gurudwara at Shimla  today on the occasion of 351st Prakash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh.He termed Guru Gobind Sing, the tenth guru of Sikhs, as a saint, philosopher, a great soldier and the founder of Khalsa Panth to stand against the atrocities.The Chief Minister said that Guru Gobind Singh dedicated his whole life for welfare of humanity. He said that the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh are still relevant today and there is   a need to follow these in a true spirit.Jai Ram Thakur was honoured with siropa on the occasion by President, Gurudwara  Guru Singh Sabha Shimla Jasvinder Singh. Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, MLA Paramjeet Singh Pammi,  Mayor Shimla Municipal Corporation Kusum Sadret, Deputy Mayor Rakesh Sharma , BJP leader Ganesh Dutt,  Principal Private Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Singh, General Secretary Sewa Singh, Vice President Swaran Singh Gulati, Hardeep Singh,  Jasvinder Singh and Harbhajan Singh were also present on the occasion.
