District Development Commissioner, Bhawani Rakwal, reviewed the arrangements for celebration of Republic Day 2018 during an officers meeting held here today.DDC exhorted upon the concerned officers to ensure that all necessary arrangements shall be put in place well in time for smooth and successful celebration of the Republic Day.Other arrangements pertaining to security, sanitation, sitting arrangements, power supply and traffic management are deliberated upon in the meeting.It was decided that the event shall start with the playing of Shehnai Wadan. After the flag hoisting and parade ceremony cultural items on patriotic and nationalistic theme shall be performed by students of various schools.DDC directed PHE and PDD to ensure availability of drinking water and uninterrupted power supply on the occasion besides asking Health and fire services to make available sufficient number of ambulances and fire tenders at the venue.DDC asked Municipal committee to intensify the sanitation drive.It was decided in the meeting that full dress rehearsal shall be held on 24th January 2018.
