To review the arrangements for Republic Day celebration, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana , here today.While constituting different committees for smooth conduct of the national event, DC took a detailed account of the arrangements to be put in place by the concerned departments regarding security, barricading, sanitation and medicare.Deputy Commissioner directed Municipal Committee to intensify the sanitation drive and asked the officials to illuminate the government buildings. He further directed CMO to ensure availability of ambulance and medical first aid camp at the venue site.Speaking on the occasion, SSP, Abrar Chowdhary enjoined upon all to cooperate with the security personnel for fool proof security arrangements for the Republic day.DDC also asked the officers to recommend the names of officials who have performed extra ordinary duties so that the same shall be forwarded for awards on the national day.Among others the meeting was attended by ADC, CPO, ACR, Xen PHE, R&B, concerned Engineers, Tehsildar Kishtwar besides other officers of the district.
