Shiromani Akali Dal President and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab  Sukhbir Singh Badal today said that the Congress contesters for 16th Lok Sabha elections were feeling like scapegoats and they were trying their best to include their rival leaders in their ‘Scapegoats Club’.Addressing a massive gathering in favour of SAD-BJP candidate from Patiala Mr. Deepinder Singh Dhillon, Mr. Badal said that leaders like Partap Singh Bajwa and Manish Tewari tried their best to run away from contesting Lok Sabha elections and now they were pushing for Amrinder’s candidature from Amritsar. “There is a trouble brewing for the Congress as the party's Central Election Committee meets to decide on the next list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. Senior Congress leaders were not keen on contesting general elections due to winnability factors, thus, contesting leaders were feeling like scapegoats and they were turning every stone to pull their rival leaders in their ‘Scapegoats Club’”, he added.

Forecasting that the 16th Lok Sabha election would be last election of Congress party, Mr. Badal said that people of the nation were all set to say their final good bye to Congress party and its senior leaders were well aware of this fact. He said that people were fed up of anti people and corrupt policies of Congress party and its allies. “There is complete demoralisation within the party. Senior Congressmen from Punjab are scared that their party will never come back to power as it never regain power in all those states where it was out of power for two consecutive terms. Shiromani Akali Dal is flooded with requests from Congress leaders wanting to join the party”. He added

Reiterating SAD-BJP alliance commitment to take Punjab further to new heights of development and prosperity, Mr. Badal said that once NDA voted to power on one hand Mr. Narinder Modi and Mr. Parkash Singh Badal duo would double the pace of development in Punjab and on other Deepinder Dhillon and N.K. Sharma duo would change the face of their area.Earlier addressing the gathering, Mrs. Harpreet Kaur Mukhmailpur, Mr. Ajaib Singh Mukhmailpur and Mr. Faujinder Singh Mukhmailpur counted a number of projects and welfare scheme initiated by SAD-BJP in the area. They assured Akali President that Deepinder Singh Dhillon would earn a margin of more than 60 thousand from Dera Bassi area.

Expressing his gratitude on the support assured by SAD-BJP leadership, Mr. Deepinder Singh Dhillon said that he has completed his first round of campaign in all the assembly segments of Patiala constituency and felt overwhelmed by the response and love shown by the people. Reading a long list of development initiative taken by SAD-BJP government in the area of Patiala constituency, he Challenged Congress candidate Mrs. Parneet Kaur to tell the people of the area even a single project or scheme she brought to the area. He said that despite being Union Minister Mr. Parneet Kaur failed to fulfill the promise she has made to the people of flood affected areas of her constituency. He said that he was well aware of the problems of area as he always remained in touch with people at grassroots level. He promised that once elected from the constituency, he would do his best for the area.
