Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture and Tourism, Priya Sethi emphasized that imparting cultural and moral education among the students is an important aspect for their overall development.The Minister was speaking during the Annual Day Celebrations of J K Public School Panjtirthi, here today.Senior Politician, Yudhvir Sethi, Chairman, JK Educational Society, Raj Daluja, Director, JKES, Brig. Sukhdev Singh, Principal JKPS Kunjwani, S K Singh, Principal JKPS Pantirthi Suman Banbah also attended the function.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister expressed her approbation at the exuberant efforts of the students and exhorted to them to excel in all their endeavors. She added that it was a veritable, visual and auditory feast as the performances based on Prime Minister’s initiatives like Swacchta, Sakarshata, Save water, Beti Bachao, were performed spreading message to all the participants.
Priya said that the role of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. "Learning gives creativity, creativity leads to thinking, thinking provides knowledge, and knowledge makes us great”, she added.The purpose of education is to make minds, not careers and knowledge is learning something new every day, the Minister maintained.She hoped that JKES will play an important role in enhancing and sustaining the quality of education as their endeavor can bring fresh innovation in the system and can go a long way in providing the young generation a platform, expressing their talents, wisdom and vision.Principal JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah expressed in her annual report that JKPS is a school with difference and said that education means inspiring someone's mind and just not filling their heads.On the occasion, teachers, parents and students were also present.
