Jammu , 18 Mar 2014

Addressing election meetings at Ambara, Samah, Sungal, Parda, Sohal, Bhalwal, Jad, Dokh Khalsa, Chak Bhagwana, Maira, Chak Kirpalpur, Devi Pul and Bhamal in Akhnoor Assembly Constituency on Tuesday, BJP Candidate for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency & State President Jugal Kishore Sharma, charged the Congress with pursuing Pakistani line on Jammu and Kashmir and driving it away from India. He said while the Congress on the one hand has been saying that J&K is a trilateral issue between India, Pakistan and Kashmiris, it on the other hand has been advocating the need to have a regime under which India and Pakistan would jointly control the state waters, power projects, agriculture, sericulture, forestry and environment. “This is dangerous line”, he said adding that the BJP will not allow any political party to tinker even slightly with the sovereignty of India. He said the only issue which still remains unresolved between India and Pakistan is the political future of Pakistan occupied Jammu & Kashmir and the three unanimous Parliament resolutions have unequivocally said that the area under the occupation of Pakistan is Indian and that it has to be retrieved and reintegrated with India. He warned the Congress not to speak the language of Pakistan and the Kashmiri separatists as the nation is not prepared to allow communalists to cause another communal pision of the country.

Jugal Kishore Sharma expressed his shock and unhappiness over the manner the Congress-NC coalition government has been ill treating the border migrants, refugees from West Pakistan and the SCs, OBCs and the STs in the area. “Their plight is highly miserable with most of them not being able even to have 2-time meal”, he said and added that the youth of the area is suffering hardships due to the faulty employment policy and acute unemployment problem. He said the small and marginal farmers in bulk of the Akhnoor Assembly constituency, especially those inhabiting the areas near the border, are also leading a miserable life. “All these social groups need a special attention and care”, he said.

Sharma appealed to the people to vote for the BJP so that the state is represented in the Lok Sabha by the public-spirited representatives and those who believe in the principle of justice and equity. He said the scheduled elections are very crucial for the country and the nation and its outcome would determine the future of the country. Responding to the Sharma’s call for vote for BJP, the people held out a solemn commitment that they would see to it that the BJP candidate wins the election with a huge margin.Jugal was accompanied by Daljeet Singh, Jugal Dogra, Puran Sharma, Rajiv Sharma, Kuldeep Sharma, Kuldeep Banotra, Purshotam Kumar, Surinder Sharma and Surinder Singh.
