Life was disrupted on Wednesday due to shutdown called by Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik against the civilian killings in Valley.Three civilians including two women were killed in the span of nine days in Valley. They included Taxi Driver Asif Iqbal from Kupwara, Misra Bano from Handwara and Rubeena Jan from Shopian.Reports said that shops and business establishments remained shut across Valley. Restrictions remained in vogue in parts of Srinagar city and South Kashmir’s Shopian district. nternet service remained suspended in twin districts of Shopian and Pulwama districts of South Kashmir.A police official said that situation remained peaceful throughout Kashmir, however, some youth pelted stones on the deployed forces in Safakadal area. “They were dispersed shortly after they hurled stones,” he said.
