Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today convened a meeting with the authorities of Education department to take stock of grievances of 10+2 lecturers engaged on academic arrangement basis in the State.Divisional Commissioner, Dr M K Bhandari, Secretary Education, Farooq Ahmed Shah and Director School Education, Ravinder Singh besides other senior officers were present in the meeting.The Secretary Education briefed the Speaker about the present status of engaged Lectures and their demands for regularization of their services in the department.It was informed in the meeting that the Department of Education has constituted a Committee to examine the grievances of 10+2 Lecturers engaged on academic arrangements. The Committee, in its first meeting, decided that Director School Education Jammu/Kashmir shall collect and compile the data of these Lectures and submit the same to the administrative department. The requisite details from the concerned Directorates are awaited, the meeting was told.The Speaker asked the concerned to look into all the aspects of the issues of these lecturers and work out strategy to sort out the same under the prescribed norms.The Education Department assured the meeting that due consideration would be given to the issue of these lecturers.
