Founder of Hotmail, Sabeer Bhatia today called on Finance Minister, Dr Haseeb Drabu and Minister for Information Technology, Imran Raza Ansari, Chief Secretary, B.B Vyas and other Administrative Secretaries to discuss the next generation of technological utilities in the state.On the occasion, Bhatia discussed various interventions like smart traffic management system, signaling system, smart cities surveillance, crowd tracking and management system, end to end encrypted messaging system for police.In the meeting, Dr Drabu said the government will thoroughly study the new pro-public interventions and would explore the possibilities of using them to improve IT related services in the state.Meanwhile, IT Minister said the government is keen to adopt new technologies for providing better services to the people and enhance the digital security apparatus of the state.Bhatia also unveiled a device having inbuilt Bluetooth, long range chip, RF id features, traceable up to 20 Km with the help of base station. This device has applications like tracking humans, Women safety, information broadcasting among others. This can be installed in low power network devices and deployed all over to create a wide connected network.He further described the utilities of the device that can help in reducing everyday congestion markedly, smoothing traffic flow and prioritizing traffic in response to demand in real time. It will also be helpful in giving priority to buses approaching junctions, phasing lights to give traffic flowing with buses a ‘green wave’ through the city. Enable a much more effective response to traffic incidents, especially on the A14 and M11.The system can be pre-programmed to handle a sudden increase in traffic on any of the ten radials, he added.
