J&K bags ‘Best State’ award in Punjab Int’l Trade Expo

Punjab International Trade Expo PITEX 2017 declared the J&K State as the “Best State” for adapting the best policies for the betterment of the artisan community.The award was presented by Minster Department of Local Government, Tourism and Culture Punjab Government Navajot Singh Sidhu.Presenting the award, it was revealed that it the award was recognition of the policies adopted by the State in general and Directorate of Handicrafts in particular for the betterment of the artisan community.It was said that the presentation and discipline maintained by J&K stalls during the exhibition while selling genuine J&K Handicrafts goods was widely appreciated.On behalf of the J&K State, the award was received by Zahoor Ahmad, Officer of the Handicrafts Department. The speakers on the occasion hailed the artisan friendly schemes of the J&K Government, being implemented through the Department of Handicrafts.
