“Bayoneting With Opinions”, a book authored by General Bhopinder Singh former Lt. Governor Andaman and Nicobar Islands was launched by Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore Governor Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh during an ‘At Home’ in the precincts of Punjab Raj Bhawan.Addressing the gathering of senior Army Officers both serving and retired, Mr. Badnore said that the day coincides with the 69th Armed Forces Flag Day and Chandigarh together with the Punjab Government is all set to hold the First Two day Military Literature Festival beginning from December 8. He said that it was a pleasure to launch the book authored by General Bhopinder Singh on the eve of Military Lit Festival.Giving details of his book, General Bhopinder Singh said that the book is a collection of about 80 articles reflecting the unique perspective of a soldier. Largely these articles deal with matters of a political, military, economic and psychological nature. He expressed his gratitude to the Governor for having launched the book in a magnificent way and on a very special day.Prominent amongst others who joined the At Home included H.H. Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji of Jodhpur, Goc-in-C, Western Command, Lt. Gen.Surinder Singh, Rana K.P. Singh, Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Mrs Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament, Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal, Finance Minister, Mr. Charanjit Singh Chani, Technical Education Minister, Lt. Gen. T.S. Shergil, Advisor to Chief Minister on Defence Affairs, senior bureaucrats and police officers of Punjab and Chandigarh.
