The Punjab Technical Education Minister Charanjit Singh Channi met Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the Ambala Division Mr. Dinesh Chand Sharma today along with officials of PWD department, Punjab in connection with the construction of Railway under Bridge (RUB) at Morinda.Mr. Channi disclosed that the DRM has instructed the railway officials to visit the site and complete all the technicalities for the construction of RUB at Morinda near bus stand. He further said that a high level team comprising the Railway officials would be inspecting the site along with Public Welfare Department officials on December 2 and all technicalities would be worked out during the joint inspection.Divulging more, he said that in principle it has been decided that the RUB would be 11 meter wide and 5.6 metre high. He also informed that for the easy movement of the vehicles under bridge, the road would be divided with the divider. 'If any minor change in this proposal is required due to any technical reasons it would be made by the officials during their inspection of the site,' added Channi.Further elaborating, Mr. Channi said that the RUB was a long pending demand of the people of the area but the previous SAD-BJP government turned a blind eye to this demand. 'Now with the formation of Captain Amarinder Singh led Congress government in the state this promise is being fulfilled on top priority,' added Channi.Others prominent present in the meeting included Mr. kuldeep Singh ADRM, Mr. Pankaj Gupta Senior Divisional Engineer, Mr. Fakhrudin Ali Ahmed Senior Divisional Engineer, Mr. Mann Singh Saini Senior Section Engineer and Mr Nareshinder Singh Walia XEN and other officials of the Public Works Department, Punjab.
