SAD-BJP To Contest Municipal Elections As Per Old Formula Of Seat Sharing

The Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP coalition will contest the present Municipal elections as per old formula of seat sharing and where new wards have been created they will be divided as per existing arrangement ratio.This decision was taken at a meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee of both the parties. Meeting was attended by the SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal, party Senior Vice President Maheshinder Singh Grewal and Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema and party General Secretary Bikram Singh Majithia. From BJP its state Incharge Prakash Jha, state President Vijay Sampla, Kamal Sharma, Manoranjan Kalia, Rajinder Bhandari, Ashwani Sharma and Dinesh Kumar participated in the meeting.Disclosing this in a statement released from the party head office here today, a party Spokesman said that meeting has decided to go as per old formula of seat sharing in the present elections. New wards will also be shared in the ratio of existing arrangement. Senior leaders of both the parties will go to the election areastomorrow and take along local leadership to divide the wards between both the partners for which duties have been already assigned. At state level a two member Coordination Committee of Mr. Vijay Sampla and Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema will look into the issues.Dr. Cheema disclosed that the development done by the previous SAD-BJP government and non performance of the Congress government during the nine months will be main poll plank in these elections. He said that workers of the coalition are in full enthusiastic mood and we will  win these elections with good margins.
