DDC Jammu reviews Eid-e-Milad arrangements

To review arrangements for Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W), Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Kumar Rajeev Ranjan today chaired a meeting of district administration and representatives of various Muslim organizations.The District Development Commissioner took review of the arrangements put in place by various departments, including    provision of transport, drinking water supply, cleanliness and sanitation, medical facilities and other basic amenities in and around   Mosques in the district.The DDC stressed upon the officers of the traffic department to ensure proper management and regulation of traffic to avoid inconvenience to the devotees coming to attend   Seerat Conferences being held at different places.   Similarly, Police department was asked to ensure adequate arrangements of security by deploying additional police personnel.He directed Municipal Corporation Jammu to ensure sanitation in and around the mosques and install/repair street lights so that devotees do not face any inconvenience.

Health department was asked to ensure adequate Medicare facilities and keep standby emergency ambulance services at the venues of major congregations.He further stressed on close coordination and synergy among line departments for ensuring adequate arrangements.  The meeting was attended by ADC, Arun Kumar Manhas, senior officers of various departments besides representatives of various   Muslim organizations.
