A family from Umarabad HMT area of Srinagar city Wednesday alleged that one of their members who had recuperated after meeting an accident a fortnight ago died due to doctors negligence in operation theater. An I20 without any registration number had hit a biker Showkat Ahmed Bhat near Umarabad HMT on 13 November. Bhat was shifted to SKIMS for treatment where he started recuperating.After spending 15 days at SKIMS, Bhat was shifted to hospital for an operation onTuesday. “He was perfectly all right and healthy. Even we had requested police to release the driver of the I.20 vehicle. But we were shocked after doctors handed his dead body to us on Tuesday night. We protested and tried to know the cause of his death, but doctors fled from the spot,” the family members told news agency CNS. The family said that not a single doctor came forward when we tried to question them. “We think and are sure that he was administered an over-dose of anesthesia.
