PFO Employees strike enters 8th day

"Subscribers suffer, authorities unmoved"

Subscribers are doing rounds of Provident Fund Office to get their Provident Fund released but all in vain as the strike called by Employees of Provident Fund Organization enters 8th day on Tuesday.   Shouting slogans in favour of their demands, the protesting employees said that they have been working on their posts from last 25 years and nothing has been done in order to promote the deserving employees to next higher posts lying vacant since long.“In case our genuine demands are not fulfilled, we will be left with no option but to go on hunger strike,” Nusrat Fatima, Vice-President, J&K Employees Provident Fund Organization Union said."The employees of J.K.E.P.O went on indefinite strike w.e.f 21-11-2017 against te callous treatment of the authorities for not conducting D.P.C since 2013 and due to this the employees are suffering badly and compelled to raise the voice against the discrimination which is a wall between the future of the employees," the protesting employees said.It is pertinent to mention that the department has not conducted any DPC from last three years, she said.
