A quiz competition on the topic “No Voter to Be Left Behind” was organized today in which District Election Officer, Ravinder Kumar was the chief guest.Ten participants from different schools participated in the event in which Girls Higher Secondary School, Udhampur emerged as winner.While addressing the students, District Election Officer congratulated the participants of the contest and said that the main aim of organizing this quiz competition is to generate awareness among the students to strengthen the roots of democracy by motivating the young voters to enroll themselves for voting, thus involving their greater participation in the electoral system.Later, the DEO facilitated the winners as well as the participants of the quiz competition. He also informed that winner of this competition will participate in the state level competition to be held at Jammu.Among others, Dy DEO, Sapna Kotwal, PO IWMP, Sushil Kesar, staff members and students of various schools were present on the occasion.
