Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary today visited various areas in R S Pura area and took stock of various ongoing developmental works there. He exhorted upon the concerned officers to ensure the quality and to expedite the pace of work, and completed them in stipulated time frame.The Minister also attended public meeting at R S Pura and take appraisal of public grievances on the spot.Senior Officers of various Departments were present on the occasion.The people of the area put forth their chatter of demands which include repair work and extension of electric lines, installation of new poles, creation of sub-station of PDD, improvement of sanitization of their localities. The Minister gave them patient hearing and said that all the demands will be redressed in time bound manner. In some cases, the Minister directed on the spot directions to the concerned for immediate redressal.The Minister said that it is the endeavor of government to make the people equal stakeholders in growth and development of their respective areas. He said eighty percent of link roads of the Suchetgarh Constituency have been macadamized.The Minister also reiterated the Government’s commitment to provide all the basic amenities to the people in every part of the State and efforts are afoot to make the Jammu and Kashmir a model State of the Country.
