The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal today said that Congress led UPA government has already admitted in ICU and may crumble anytime thereby making the way mid-term Lok Sabha Elections. Mr. Badal, who reached here to review the arrangements for Maghi Mela, exhorted the party workers to fully gear up for Lok Sabha elections as the days of UPA Government are already numbered. He said that he was fully convinced that the intelligent electorates of Punjab, who have created a history by giving repeat mandate to SAD-BJP government appreciating its unique development agenda, would ensure the clean sweep of SAD- BJP alliance on all the thirteen Lok Sabha Seats by drubbing anti people congress party. He said that Shiromani Akali Dal would organize a mammoth conference on Maghi Mela, in which the achievements and future priorities of Mr. Parkash Singh Badal led SAD-BJP government would be explained to the people of Punjab. He said that the State government has launched a Rs. 10000 Crore urban renewal project to up-grade the overall infrastructures of all the 147 cities and towns with special focus on 100 per cent drinking water and Sewerage coverage, solid waste management and smooth flow of traffic. Similarly Rs. 20000 Crore project has been given final touches to up-grade the basic infrastructure of all the villages on urban pattern. He said that SAD-BJP government has always delivered what it had promised. He gave the example of promise for making state power surplus and now every body can witness that all the three thermal plants were nearing completion and by the end of this year there would be not even a single unit of power deficiency in the state. He said that construction of international air-port at Mohali was on full swing and construction of domestic air port at Bathinda has already completed and waiting for the Union Civil Aviation Minister for formally inauguration. He said that the grand success of World Kabbadi Cups was go a long way in encouraging our youth towards sports.
Interacting with media persons, he said that success of Parvasi Punjabi Sammelan was that a number of elected representatives of Punjab origin from all over the world participated in it and expressed their happiness over the unique initiatives of the our government aimed at the welfare of NRIs . He said that prominent NRIs and NRI media persons have also expressed their satisfaction over the rapid pace of the development and expressed confidence that now any anti-Punjab leader could not dare to misguide the Parvasi Punjabis. Replying a query that Mr. Badal said that Shiromani Akali Dal was fully united for Moga bye-election and it would register a resounding win. Later on at conference site, he issued necessary directions for the arrangements .
