Jewelers Tuesday observed a shutdown against the government move to create a fish market in the interiors of Hari Singh High Street Srinagar.The protesting jewelers said that Department of Fisheries wants to encroach their parking space to create a fish market there. “It will be set back to us if any fish market is created near our market,” the protesting gold smiths told CNS.The protesting traders who later on met Divisional Commissioner Kashmir got assurance from him that no such market will be created at Hari Singh High Street Srinagar. “We are thankful to Divisional Commissioner Kashmir for supporting us,” the traders said.
