Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture, Tourism, Department of Horticulture, Floriculture and Parks Priya Sethi today said that Startup India scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendera Modi is aimed at encouraging young entrepreneurs to involve in the entrepreneurship for better future. This decision she said is proving to be a new dimension im entrepreneurship and helping newcomers in setting up their businesses as well as make a line network of start ups .Priya Sethi was speaking during ‘Jammu Kashmir Future Talks’ in Central University of Jammu. Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University Anju Bhasin, Organiser of the Programe Shakun Sethi and an entrepreneur Japan Vyas were present on the occasion.She said that this campaign is the result of commitment of Modi govt to make India a developed country by 2022 wherein more youngters will be encouraged to become job givers than job seekers. She said," we need to give right direction to our students and make them realise their dreams. J&K is a vibrant state with multi-regional geographical and economic feature which itself is a boon and can be best utilised for giving young entrepreneurs opportunities to make their Mark".

Listening to students speaking about startups, Priya Sethi said,'I Am happy that you opened up and gave vent to your feelings. We want to turn  your imaginations into realities for which government has simplified procedures so that more and more new comers come forward and under the able guidance of mentors give India its new entrepreneurs. Japan Vyas and Shakun Sethi, she said are examples of success stories when it comes to startups and they must be guiding stars for youngsters trying their hands into Entrepreneurship'.The Minister Added that by opening new incubation centres in Jammu and Kashmir more youth will be provided opprotnuties. The start up scheme she informed has also simple exit policies but youngsters must try to stick to their commitments and set up their units. They need not be afraid and government will continue to encourage  youth open up their mind and clear doubts if any. She hoped that each university in the state will give at least two startups which will become role models for others to follow.

Shakun Sethi, Founder Dizuna communications in her address said “This is just a start to a bigger better future not for Jammu but for the entire nation, as I am sure we with time and efforts of Jammu and Kashmir Future Talks we will be creating world class startups. Our goal is to atleast bring 2 startups per year per university and I am sure we would.”“The JK Future Talks  launched under the guidance of Minister of State Mrs Priya Sethi is an excellent initiative to provide impetus to the startup movement in Jammu region. It was wonderful interacting with the young students and startup enthusiasts. I hope to have helped ignite their entrepreneurial ambitions in a small way.” said Japan Vyas who is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Sixth Sense Ventures, also an active angel investor in the technology and social impact space and mentor to several startups.He has more than 17 years across financial services spectrum in venture capital, private and public equity, project finance, and corporate banking. He has established two alternative asset management businesses. He was the youngest in the country to head an alternative asset management business, at the age of 31 and  has raised 3 funds till date investing in early stage, private equity & public markets. He was amongst the early investors in Paytm.

Sanjeev Jain, VC SMVDU in his speech said that since youth of J&K doesn't want to step outside they loose many opportunities. Many companies use technology and several Informations are available which should be best utilised by new entrepreneurs. He said that incubation centres in universities can provide seed money but loan obtained from banks will have to be returned by the new entrepreneurs for which they must be serious about their projects.Anju Bhasin VC Cluster university laid emphasis on importantance of reliasing ideas. She said,' We foster students to be self sufficient. Earning and contribution to society is important. Good if ideas that are linked with tourism are nurtured and implemented.One must not stay confined around technology but venture into farmers' market kind of Ventures can be worked out in new startups. She lauded Central university for incubating start ups and asked students to let their feelings out for realisation of their dreams.Ashok Aima VC CU announced best awards to encourage  new ideas. He favoured Nodal centre for incubation centres and said that full-fledged Courses in entrepreneurs must be started to make students aware of legalities and other formalities so that they think beyond seeing jobs.
