CGC Jhanjeri Students participated in PTU’s Inter College swimming competitions for Men and displayed enviable performance , and won as many as seven medals in different categories. Out of a total of six categories, CGC Jhanjeri students won Silver & Bronze medals in four events. In Back stroke 50m, the team won Silver Medal, in Breast Stroke 50m, 100m & 200m they won bronze medal in each, in Butterfly stroke 50m, bronze medal and in Individual 50mx4 Midlay Event comprising of Free Style, Back Stroke, Breast Stroke and Butterfly Stroke, Bronze medal has been won. The team bagged an overall Third position in these competitions.Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC congratulated the team for their glorious performance. According to him sports give students an opportunity to come together, compete with each other and attain higher levels of excellence. Playing the game and playing well is what sports is all about, he said. Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General said that for complete success of a student, his overall growth is essential. For this CGC lays as much emphasis on sports and other extracurricular activities as academics.
