Chief Minister  Virbhadra Singh along with Irrigation and Public Health Minister Smt. Vidya Stokes and other state leaders offered floral tributes on memorial of Mahatma Gandhi at the historic ridge, here today on his 148th birth anniversary.The Chief Minister also administered the ‘Swachatta Oath’ on the occasion taking a pledge to keep the state clean to achieve the dream of ‘Bapu’ of ‘Swachh Bharat’. He read out oath of cleanliness along with children of Laurete Public school present on the occasion. He also evinced keen interest in the exhibition organised by Municipal Corporation, Shimla showcasing the massive cleanliness drives taken out in the city during past few months. He exhorted to follow the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and always to tread on the path of truth and non -violence.The Chief Minister also offered floral tributes on the memorial of Shri Lal Bahadur Shashtri on his 113th  Birth anniversary along with IPH Minister and other leaders including councillors. The Chief Minister termed him as an apostle of peace and harmony.He also inaugurated the health check up and blood donation camp organised by MC Shimla. The artists of Information and Public Relations presented devotional songs on the occasion associated with the lifetime of Mahatma Gandhi.Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Shri Nand Lal, MLAs Shri Mohan Lal Bragta and Shri Ravi Thakur, Mayor, Smt. Kusum Sadret, Deputy Mayor Shri Rakesh Sharma, Vice -Chairman, HPTDC Shri Harish Janaratha, Vice Chairman. HIMUDA Shri Yashwant Chajta,  Deputy Commissioner, Shri Rohan Thakur, Commissioner, Shri Gian Chand Negi, councillors, former Mayors, Shri Shri Ashok Sood and Jeni Prem were also present on the occasion amongst others.
