Surindera Jain,national spokesperson, Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), accompanied by Sh. Rajesh Gupta, Chairman Tourism Federation of Jammu and Sh. Surinder Mohan Aggarwal, President Baba Amarnath & Buda Amarnath Yatri Niyas, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan. Sh. Jain discussed with the Governor, who is Chairman of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, several proposals and suggestions to enhance the facilities being provided to the pilgrims visiting the Shri Amarnathji Shrine. The delegationappreciated Governor’s decision to continue the Yatra, without any interruption, after the terrorist attack on 10th July on a bus carrying pilgrims and for immediate relief being provided to the victims of the terror attack and the pilgrims killed and injured in a gruesome accident which occurred on 16th July near Banihal.Regarding the suggestions for further improving arrangements for the Yatra, Governor asked Sh. Umang Narula CEO to raise the same at the next meeting of the Sub-Committee chaired by the Chief Secretary J&K.
