A spokesperson of Education Department said that the department will distribute 10,260 laptops and netbooks to the meritorious students of 10th and 12th classes under Rajiv Gandhi Digital Students Yojna on the basis of examinations held in March, 2017.Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh will launch the distribution of laptops on 15th August, 2017 at State level Independence Day function at Rampur Bushehar in district Shimla.He said that Rs. 82 crores have been spent to provide 42971 laptops and netbooks to the meritorious students from 2013-14 to 2017-18.He has asked all eligible students to fill the form which is also available on departmental website and submit the same to the concerned Deputy Director of the district.
