The National BJP President, Amit Shah, said here today that the NDA Government, led by the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, had been working for the last three years to accelerate the pace of economy which had helped increase the credibility of India all over the world. Before the NDA Government took over, the graph of the country's economy was falling.Addressing a press conference on the second day of his three-day visit here today, Mr Shah said during the last three years the Opposition had not been able to blame the government for a single act of corruption. This government is decisive and can take old decisions. This is the reason why BJP’s is reckoned as a result-oriented government. Works which had been executed during the last three years had never been done during the last 50 years. Only two or three major works were done in the last 50 years, but the present Union Government has carried out 50 big works and put the country on the path of development. History will record this, he added.Mr Shah said the Central Government had opened more than 28 crore bank accounts of the poor and distributed more than 2.5 crore gas connections under the Ujjwala Scheme. Insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh is being given at a modest premium of Rs.12, which is the biggest achievement of the government.

Similarly, 7.5 crore unemployed youths have been given employment under the MUDRA scheme. Loans ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 10 lakh are given to the youth on simple terms. While working on the concept of one tax-one country, the present government has strengthened the federal system with the consent of state governments. Under the one tax-one nation concept, 16 taxes and 30 units have been included, he added.

Electricity would be supplied to each village of the country by May, 2018. During the last three years, 18,000 villages have been provided with electricity. Target has been set to construct toilet in every household by 2022. Toilets have already been constructed in 4.5 crore houses during the last three years.Emphasis is being laid on digital transitions in the country. Similarly, the present government has achieved a remarkable distinction by reducing the prices of generic medicines. Due to the huge prices of stunts, poor people were facing a lot of trouble. The government has taken steps to ensure that stunt is made available for anything between Rs 7,000 and Rs 40,000. Highlighting the Central Government’s achievements, Mr Shah said security cover was being provided to the people by issuing social health cards to farmers. Two to three times compensation is being paid for the loss of crops due to any natural calamity. Neem-coated urea, e-mandi and Prime Minister’s Fasal Bima Yojana are other major achievements, he added.

Giving information about the BJP Government led by the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, in Haryana, Mr Shah said the Central Government was helping the state government.Financial assistance to the state during the Congress tenure under the 13th Finance Commission was Rs 22,914 crore which has been increased to Rs 57,323 crore under the 14th Finance Commission, during the tenure of the BJP Government. This shows about two-and-a-half times growth. Gokul Mission, NHI Mission are also included under Central schemes.Similarly, 1.26 crore LED bulbs and three lakh LPG connections have also been released. The BJP has done the work of giving a transparent government in Haryana and has risen above family and caste considerations.Transparency has been adopted in the recruitment of cops, civil services, patwaris, teachers etc. in the state. Transfer of 35,000 teachers has been made by implementing online transfer policy under which 91 per cent of teachers have got their desired place. There has also been an improvement in the sex ratio in Haryana which has now touched 950. Similarly, in the golden jubilee year, Haryana has been declared a kerosene-free state. Computerization of various schemes and selection of educated panchayats is a major reform of this government.Similarly, the present state government has done commendable work like introduction of e-stamp, e-registration, and giving all types of clearance to industrial units under one roof. Special focus has been laid on the safety of women. The Chief Minister, BJP's Haryana in-charge Dr. Anil Jain, andtate BJP President,  Mr. Subhash Barala, were also present on this occasion.
