Justice (Retd.) Bilal Nazki, Chairman, J&K State Human Rights Commission, called onGovernor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.Justice Nazki informed the Governor about the vast majority of the cases filed before the Commission related to the failures of the administrative machinery in discharging its day to day duties to the public at large.Governor observed that the first and foremost duty of the governmental machinery was to deliver efficient, prompt and accountable services to the people at large, particularly the neglected and oppressed segments of society. He stressed that governance must be by the Rule of Law and protective of the Constitutional and Fundamental Rights of the citizens. He urged Chairman Nazki to deliver justice in his recommendations to the State Government.
