The District Development Commissioner Anantnag today reviewed the implementation of District Development Board decisions, 2017-18 here today.The District Development Commissioner emphasized upon all three officers to work diligently for the early implementation and completion of DDB decisions.The DDC was informed that retaining wall work on Ziyarat Sharief Aishmuqam is going on in full swing by JKPCC and shall be completed by the end of this year.Meanwhile, the District Social Welfare Officer was directed to complete the survey of left out cases of State Marriage Assistance Scheme in Devsar constituency by 15th of August.For establishment of mini Secretariat, the Tehsildar Anantnag was directed to identify the land on priority basis within a week so that R&B Department will start work at an earliest.With respect to providing of banking facilities in industrial estates, the Lead Bank Manager informed that J&K Bank has established banking facilities at Bijbehara, Anantnag and Anchidora industrial estates.
The EXEN R&B informed the meeting that DPRs of Tailwani-Khandura road, widening of Harnag Batengoo by-pass road, Srigufwara-Adlash bridge, Wajoora-Ainoo bridge have been prepared and submitted to higher authorities for approval.In pursuance to DDB decision of desalting of irrigation khuls, the ACD Anantnag informed the meeting that 177 desilting works have been completed costing an amount of Rs 133.58 lakh.Other DDB decisions including the establishment of SKUAST campus at Kokernag, Krishi Vikas Kendra at Kreeri, water supply schemes of Wopzan and Khudpora under LIC, development of sports infrastructure in Dooru were discussed threadbare.The DDC impressed upon all the officers to make best use of the development season and ensure quality asset creation in the district. He also impressed upon the officers of Agriculture and allied departments to refocus on boosting the rural economy as these sectors have a vast potential that needs to be tapped.Principals of GDC Khannabal and Women’s College, Additional SP, Chief Planning Officer, SDM Kokernag, CEOs of Pahalgam Development Authority, Kokernag Development Authority, Verinag Development Authority, SE Hydraulic, Xens of R&B, PMGSY, PDD, PHE, CGM JKPCC, CMO, ACD, district and other sectoral officers attended the meeting.
