Commissioner Secretary to Govt., Health& Medical Education (H&ME) Department Dr Pawan Kotwal today conducted a day long extensive tour of South Kashmir.He was accompanied by Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman.On this occasion he visited the proposed site of AIIMS at Awantipora and took on spot appraisal of land acquisition process for the said site.Later he visited Rahmat-e-Alam Hospital and took stock of its upgradation to MCH Anantnag.He also visited Govt. Medical College, Anantnag wherein he was apprised about the current status of work.He stressed on the constructing authorities to complete the work process within the stipulated time.At the end, he visited District Hospital Anantnag wherein he took stock of health care activities being provided to the patients. He further interacted with the patients, attendants and the medical staff and sought their feedback for improving the healthcare in the hospital.Earlier, Commissioner Secretary along with Director Health took health review meeting of Kashmir division at DPEH Barzulla, wherein apart from Directorate officials, all Chief Medical Officers and Medical Superintendents of Kashmir Province were present.
