Prof. Mehraj-ud-Din, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Kashmir, accompanied by scholars participating in an International Seminar on “Conservation of Environment and Role of Religion”, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.The participating scholars shared their views with Governor regarding the existing and arising challenges to the global environment, the phenomenon of climate change, need for attention to conservation of bio-diversity, degradation of natural habitats and related issues and how these crucial problems needs to be addressed. Governor lauded the VCs’ initiative to draw attention to the higher potential of utilizing religious faith and beliefs in securing the conservation of our natural resources.Prof. Leonard Swindler and Prof. Paul Mojzes from USA, Prof. Mustafa Ceric from Bosnia, Prof. Puninder Singh and Prof. Hamidullah Marazi-Coordinator of the Programme, accompanied the Vice Chancellor.
