Amarnath Yatra-2017: DDC Jammu reviews arrangements

District Development Commissioner, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan today convened a meeting to review the arrangements for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.The meeting was attended by ADC, Arun Manhas, officers of concerned departments and representatives of religious and social organizations.DDC took a detailed review of the arrangements put in place by the concerned departments for the Yatra. He directed the Tourism Department to ensure adequate facilities at Yatri Niwas , while PDD and PHE departments were asked to ensure adequate power and water supply . JMC was directed to ensure proper sanitation at  Yatri Niwas, areas around Ram Mandir, Geeta Bhawan, Railway Station and other places .  DDC asked RTO Jammu and Traffic Police to keep a strict check on overcharging. He also stressed on making fool proof security arrangements during the yatra.DDC sought cooperation from various religious and social organizations for the smooth conduct of Yatra and said that administration will take concerted efforts to provide all required facilities to the Yatris.
