Preparations for Yoga Day celebration finalized at Jammu

District Administration Jammu is going to organize a mega Yoga session at Mini Stadium, Parade on June 21 to celebrate the International Yoga Day.In this regard, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC),   Arun Kumar Manhas today chaired a meeting to discuss and finalize arrangements for the event.SP, City North Jammu, Vinod Kumar, SP Security, Kulwant Singh, officers from PHE, PWD, SRTC, ISM, Fire and Emergency Department, Sports Council and Health Department attended the meeting.The police department was asked to make fool proof security arrangements during the celebrations, besides keeping the link roads clear for the smooth movement of people and vehicles.The administration has decided to make available adequate parking spaces to avoid   traffic snarl on the adjoining roads.The ADC asked the PHE department to provide adequate drinking water facility at the venue and directed JMC to install make shift toilets and ensure cleanliness in and around the Mini Stadium. Fire and Emergency department was directed to station two fire tenders in the vicinity of the Stadium to deal with any exigency.He further directed the concerned departments to create awareness among the masses about the programme so that maximum participation can be ensured at the venue.
