Expressing serious concern over the deteriorating situation in South Kashmir and elsewhere in the Valley, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir has condemned the killing of youth namely Adil Farooq Magray (22), who was reportedly killed during the cordon laid by the Forces at Ganowpor Shopian.G.A. Mir while hitting out at both State and Centre Govt for failing to restore normalcy described the killings in any form as most unfortunate and it has to be stopped in the larger interest of peace and tranquility. The Ruling Dispensation especially PDP which has secured votes by betraying people on sensitive issues is silently watching the dance of deaths and destruction in the Valley, for the fact, this Party has surrendered everything to Centre especially BJP for the sake of remaining in Power.

The situation is extremely volatile, as both the State and Centre Govt have miserably failed to restore peace and normalcy; as a result, the Situation continues to deteriorate. He said the killing of Adil Farooq Magray could have been avoided, had Forces exercised restraint while dealing with the militancy related incidents. The loss of innocent people are highly painful and it will further vitiate the atmosphere in Valley.G.A. Mir urged upon the Forces to exercise restraint and ensure that no civilian is harmed during militancy related operations, but at the same, he also appealed the people especially youth not to take law in hands and help restore peace, as it is ultimate the peace and normalcy only, which stands guarantee to safety and security of the people and property, so there is a need to end the cycle of violence without any further loss of life and property, G.A. Mir emphasized. (KNS)
