The Vigilance Bureau, Punjab (VB) has caught a Junior Engineer, PSPCL red-handed with the bribe money of Rs. 9,000 for releasing electricity connection.Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the VB said that the complainant Sh. Bhura Singh s/o Bhana Singh ,Village Dhindsa, District-Sangrur complained that he approached Harbans singh, JE sub-pision, Moonak, PSPCL for releasing the electricity connection for the installation of Motor but he has demanded a sum of Rs. 10,000/- as illegal gratification. After negotiation the JE agreed to take Rs. 9,000/- for this work. The spokesperson further said that a trap was laid by the team of Vigilance Bureau, Sangrur headed by Sh. Pritipal Singh, DSP and accused Harbans Singh, JE, Sub-pision, Moonak, P.S.P.C.L was arrested red handed in his office while accepting bribe of Rs. 9,000/- from the complainant and this amount was recovered from him in the presence of govt. witnesses
