Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta today visited Hari Vihar Colony and Shanti Nagar areas in Kunjwani and interacted with the locals to get first hand appraisal about the problems being faced by them.The locals informed the Speaker about their concerns related to power supply, water supply, road connectivity, telecom, education, drainage system and healthcare.After listening to their grievances, the Speaker assured them that the projected problems would be taken up with the concerned departments and accordingly, redressed in time-bound manner .He further informed them that that requisite measures are underway to improve basic amenities and sanitation facilities in these areas .The Speaker said the blacktopping work of roads and upgradation of LT/HT cables along with upgradation of transformers in the area shall be taken up at an earliest.He directed the officers of concerned departments to reach out to the people to ensure prompt service delivery and redressal of their grievances. SDM South, Sonu Pargal, Tehsildar South, Anil Magotra, BDO Satwari, AK Khajuria, Executive Engineer PWD (R&B), Rajan Mengi, AEE PWD (R&B), Rafiq Sheikh and other officers were present on the occasion.
